The Double Measures came about as a result of a genuine desire to provide something unique. The Double Measures are a cover band of the highest quality, actively committed to capturing and recreating the authentic sound and feel of classic and modern funk, soul and rock and roll from the world's leading artists. The Double Measures achieve this without the use of backing tracks, sequencers or sheet music.

The Band

Over 30 auditions were held to seek out only the Midland's most professional Soul musicians and singers to become The Double Measures. The resulting line up features 5 male members all under the age of 35 with a combined total of over 80 years' musical experience.

The Double Measures repertoire of well known songs is guaranteed to get any crowd singing and dancing and because of a well-rounded mix of catchy Funk, Soul and Rock & Roll tunes from across 5 decades, there's bound to be something for everyone!

To make your event extra special, for a nominal fee, The Double Measures will happily arrange advance requests for your first or last dance.

The Double Measures provide a 1600 watt PA system suitable for up to 250 people, which you are welcome to use for announcements and speeches and incidental music wherever possible. The Double Measures also have a lighting rig with sound activated moving scanners.
