Ceilidh dancing in Scotland is the most accessible form of Scottish traditional dancing.c. The dances are usually to a set pattern which is given by a ‘Caller’ who can quickly demonstrate the dance moves before the music starts. Whether Scottish or English, the Key ingredients of a good Ceilidh include enthusiasm, a good band, and usually - but not essentially - drink. For Country and Western Line dancing,over the course of any single dance, individuals interact with not just their partners but everyone else in the set, and therefore might be considered a group activity.
