THE HEAVY METAL ABBA COVERS BAND

May I introduce ABBATOIR, a modern powerhouse heavy metal band with a unique twist - they only play interpretations of ABBA songs! .

Some of the classics they cover are Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Mamma Mia, SOS, Fernando, Dancing Queen, Waterloo alongside more obscure numbers such as Marionette, So Long and Eagle.

Formed in mid 2006 we have gigged extensively over the UK and were the 'house band' on XtraFactor.

Rob Birnie and Rik Wakeman, the classic Planet RockFM DJ’s, can be numbered amongst our growing army of fans!

We see ourselves as a natural progression to such acts as Hayseed Dixie and Beatallica; only potentially more commercially viable.
